A quick post here, ‘cos the little injin’ guy round the back can’t pedal the generator any faster to keep the ‘leccy going.
Dragged out of bed again at some stupid hour to head of into the wilderness again, but we were pleasantly surprised as it ended up we drove through a region that not only is reputed to have more “bandido’s” than you can shake a stick at but a road worthy of Jeremy Clarksons best roads montages.
Winding through jungle wilderness designated as a natural park full of hyenas and cheetahs (none of which we saw) the road was spectacular. Twists and turns to throw the rickshaw into at 40-50kms an hour seeing if we can get one of the back wheels off the ground, which we succeeded in doing so many times.
All this with girly Gibson in the back clutching his stomach and squeezing his cheeks ….

A big thanks have to be given to our team mechanic, Mike Hemingway, or as we now call him ” steady Eddie hemingway” who has kept our beast on the road whilst Matt and mike have try’d to destroy it every chance we get. Today was even worse as 60% of the day was bouncing on and off the road dodging trucks and buses.
Matt has now learned how to take the handbrake off after driving most of his stints with it still on full, no wonder our fuel consumption is crap when he’s driving, never mind the scary driving he is now renown for.
Over 1300kms now bagged, so we have covered half the distance …. !! Tomorrow we head into the mosquito red zone .. so no doubt girly gibson will get something else to ail his fevered brow further.
Matt decided to get an head massage and haircut tonight, so he now has a 1980’s style haircut.
