On day one as we hurled our mighty stead “trigger” at the foothills of the Himalayas we noticed a speck on the horizon following us.
When we stopped of for our first rest break, the speck caught us up, where we found team “she’s a Goa” namley Lisa (from Australia)
.
.
.
.
and Avril (from Ireland), going in the same direction as us.
Agreeing to go in tandem for the day, we have been together ever since.
After a few days, we had no choice but to bring them into the fold, and soon renamed them the “teammidlifecrisis groupies” which i am sure they appreciate!
Providing many valuable services along the way such as acting as a mobile massage parlour, logistics vehicle, recovery vehicle, camera crew and even the occasional banker they have been most excellent travelling partners.
having western girls with you always proves popular as well with Injin’ Jo, and a crowd is always around us within seconds of stopping. These are the times that Avril is particular found to be the best at entertaining the crowds with her witty banter -ah feck-off!!

I would just like to pass on a HUGE congratulations to you all. Not only have you made me incredibly jealous by visiting a country that I would love to go to (minus poorly tummys, of course), but you’ve also raised a ton of dollar for charity. If I went on a “don’t drink a pint of guiness for a week” sponsorship mission, I’d make a fortune, but sadly I think I’d fail at something so mammoth as to tuk tuk across any country (even with the best of intentions).
Mr. Gibson, I highly recommend cocoa butter for you back. Worked on my sunburnt feet last year! x
Welcome Home xx
Nothing wrong with my back! It’s Matt who needs the butter and a slap!!!
My bad! Still good advice though I think.
